At HBM Architects, we design new library buildings and renovate existing ones, but the most important thing that we do is to help libraries plan comprehensively for their future. We do this by assessing current facilities, reviewing current and projected community demographics and library metrics, and thoroughly examining the library’s service model and how the spaces in each branch are being used. This research and analysis is then synthesized into a specific plan composed of practical, actionable recommendations that will allow libraries to utilize their resources in the most effective ways possible.
